Compassion in every moment

Ridgeline’s pastoral care offers optional spiritual and emotional support for people navigating difficult circumstances. It is a community-ministry service offered at no charge and is available to people of any faith tradition, as well as people with no faith tradition. Participation is never required to receive any other Ridgeline service.

Understanding pastoral care

Pastoral care is compassionate, non-clinical support for people experiencing stress, grief, isolation, uncertainty, or other difficult life circumstances. A pastoral-care conversation can provide a respectful space to be heard, reflect on sources of meaning or hope, and consider supportive next steps. This service is optional, offered without charge as a community ministry, and is available regardless of religious belief or affiliation. It is not psychotherapy, crisis intervention, medical care, legal advice, or a substitute for licensed mental-health or emergency services.

Who benefits from pastoral care?

Pastoral care may be helpful for people experiencing grief, stress, loneliness, uncertainty, major life changes, caregiving demands, or a difficult diagnosis. It is also available to anyone who would value a compassionate, respectful conversation—whether or not they identify with a faith tradition. Ridgeline offers this optional support at no charge; it is not therapy, crisis counseling, emergency support, or a replacement for licensed medical or behavioral-health care.

Our unique approach to spiritual support

Ridgeline’s pastoral care is optional, welcoming, and available at no charge to people of all faith traditions and to people with no faith tradition. We do not require religious affiliation, seek to persuade anyone to adopt particular beliefs, or make pastoral care a condition of receiving other services. When someone also needs help with care coordination, benefits, or other practical concerns, we can help them identify the appropriate Ridgeline service or community resource. Pastoral care remains non-clinical support and is not therapy, crisis intervention, emergency care, medical advice, or a substitute for licensed professional services.
